Spring is in the air

swallow_tcm9-18469 April  16th. Out planting our potatoes , garlic and onions in our garden strip yesterday. Blazing sun and the air filled with the sounds of birds. Buzzard and kite wheeled overhead and a raucous jay popped in but best of all was a flight of 5 swallows heading down to Ferryside. Always gladdens my heart to hear them chattering away so full of  “joie de vivre”.Quality pictures and sounds of birds on the RSPB web site  http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/s/swallow/index.aspx
